moving up in size

I want to move up from my 55 gal to 90 gal Can I cure live rock in the new tank and then add all my 55 gal inhabitants as soon as the rock is cured ?

i would cure the live rock in the 90, then start adding the contents of the 55 over time. i have a buddy that went from a 30 to a 55 and he did what you want to do. for some reason the tank went through another cycle and killed several of his fish. some people have done the same thing and it worked, but sometimes it doesnt, better to be safe than sorry.

I've done that a number of times and it's turned out fine.
I've cured the rock in the new tank, once it's ready I do a 60-70% water change to get rid of all the yuckies from the rock, then I add all my other rock and top it off with the water, fish, and rocks (and whatever else) from the old/smaller aquarium.

theres a very good chance that it would work fine, just wanted to point out that sometimes it doesnt.
