Unless you are able to identify the exact species, it's safe to assume that it's not truly a freshwater fish. Most flounders sold as "freshwater" actually require brackish conditions. Feeding them adequately is also a challenge, due to their small mouths. I would do some serious research and try to identify the species (won't be easy) before considering a purchase. There are some true freshwater flounders, but they are rarely available in the hobby from what I understand.
