The fish in my tank don't seem to be growing. All of my fish are only about an inch long (swordtails get up to 4 right?) I have hand them for about 4 months and they aren't getting any bigger. I have mostly fed them flake food, but have started to feed them a little more freeze dried food. The cory's are young so I don't expect them to be big. Is it genes, me, or how they were raised before I got them? I also have tried to raise swordtail fry in a net breeder but after a month they are only about a quarter of an inch long. I thought that they would grow faster. I have fed them Pulverized freeze dried blood worms and flake food. I think the fry could be because of lack of live foods. Any ideas?

differnet fish grow at differnt rates i had afew that stay small for what seamed like forever then just exploded if you want a fast growing fish get a clownknife then all the others become food but they grow real fast

What's the temp?? Higher (78) will increase metabilisim and they will grow faster.

Also what are the water changes like. Larger water changes will help, IME as they help to get rid of excess hormones int he water.

I know that my baby platies stayed small forever, even after a year and a half they were pretty small. But when I started doing 50% water changes they started to grow and are actually now full size.

give them about a year... they will eventually start to mature on out :)
