I like to share my loss, please post any comments, thanks.

Possible cause #1: Two weeks ago I introduced feeders and I'm suspecting they were infected...

The catfish were showing signs a few days later after feeder fish were introduced in tank and gradually started to deteriorate, several water changes were performed but it did not help, I raised temperature/ aeration, treated with Rich ID, Salt, Melafix in between changes but did not respond, what should I said to the LFS that sold me the feeders? this were not ordinary CF they were fancy and expensive like Synodontis Decorous, Angelicus, Brichardis, Loaches, Plecos etc.. as up today 5 dead and 7 more dying.

Possible cause #2: A spike on water lead had been announced in my area....

This may had come later with the repetitive water changes that were performed in order to get rid of the disease and instead, contributed to the deterioration

Thanks in advance for your comments.

I have not heard of lead poisoning fish rapidly like that - having used lead weight for keeping airstones and corner filters down in the past , I don't think it would be that fast and if it was there would probably have been a state of emergency declared for your area.

The feeder cause sounds much more likley. This happend on one of our tanks about 7 years ago and wiped out 18 catfish 10-14" in a 125g in less then a week. I have never seen anything like it and they were literally dying in front of you.
It happened after someone stuck some shiners in there. There was not even anytime to do anything about it as they got wiped out in just days.

Yeap, I was standing in front of the tank as it was happening, the last one I removed was a royal Pleco of 5 years, it just moved over a log and then it was gone.
