I looked on the back cover of my TFH magazine and saw that Eheim is dropping the Pro series III. Anyone seen them in stores here in the US or have any opinions on them. It has a dual intake, a new flow pattern, and a top loaded pre-filter. I think it retails for $300+.

Hi - I am interested in the Eheim 2080 and have found it available at Marine Depot and at Dr. Foster & Smith. But, I am alarmed to see this post that Eheim is dropping the Pro III (already)??!?! Could you tell me about the article? I am not familiar with that magazine. Why is Eheim dropping it?
Thanks.

Oh, well, that is a very unusual way of putting it... generally in English in that context that idiom means "let go" or "getting rid of" - an example where "dropping" would indicate "releasing" is for example, in reference to egg laying, or "dropping it on the US market"...

Has anyone used this filter yet? Thanks. :)

Well, I ordered it. I got it from DrsFosterSmith.com on sale right now.
We'll see! :)
