Anyone have any suggestions on what kind of bulbs are good. Mine is a 29 gal. which has a 24 inch fluorescent bulb. I have no live plants, a platty, a pleco, a few neons, a cory, and plan on adding a few clown loaches and some more neons. I dont want it too dim, and the less washed out looking, the better.
 
High price or low?
 
If you have no live plants then you can just go to lowes, walmart, home depot something of the such and get an incandescent light and save yourself some money.
 
um or you could go the hardware store and buy a fluorescent tube for 5-8 bucks . The higher the K rating the bluer the color. Eg 2700 very yellow. 6700 noon time sun and 10000 very bluish.
