this thing looks like a millipede its tanish white about 2to3 inchs long with legs and everything it lives in some of my live rock in hole wat is it and will it harm anything in my tank

If it that big it could be a fireworm, and not a good thing to have. We've had a couple over 4 inches long, whiteish with red hairs or legs, We use a turkey baster to remove them when they are out of the holes in the rocks.

We have lots of small bristle worms in a tank thats been established over ten years, and they seem to do no harm. :pc:

I agree with Mo, it sounds like a bristleworm. They shouldn't be a poblem unless they get too big.

If you decide to remove it, be forewarned that it stings.
