I have had my 29gal. tank a little over 3yrs(I think). I have 2 Angels about 3 1/2 "- 4" each, and 1 black phantom(used to be 4) and 1 serpae tetra(used to be 2). I don't want anymore of these tetra's even though I know they should be in groups. They were my 1st fish and I have decided they aren't the fish for me, but I believe it is my responsibility to care for them till the end.
The Angels were suppossed to be moved into a larger tank, but long story short-No new tank. I also have a 15 gal tank, you know the kind that are tall. It is empty but up and running. My husband & I have become quite fond of the Angels, they have such great personalities(although one can be a little testy with the smaller one occasionally) and they have been healthy. I would hate to have to give them up. Should they be in a bigger tank? Could I keep one and find a good home for the other? Please no flames. I will take your advice seriously.

To go with your angels I would try maybe a pair of dwarf gouramis and some cories. Im my opinion a 29g will be a bit small for fully grown angels.

your fish are ok I keep 10 tanks My rule is length has to be at least 5 times the length of the fish MIN
front to back 3 times length of fish MIN your getting real close to the limit there. When you do buy a bigger tank skip the 55 and get a 65 or 75 for the front to back mesurements of 18"and those will house you fish and a 1/2 dosen new adult friends for them to play with:D .

BTW welcome to AC

Thanks both for your advice. I have decided not to add anymore fish to the tank for now. Although I'm considering a pair of dwarf gouramis for the 15gal. I'm not sure I can talk my hubby in to a bigger tank at this point. Just bought a house and planning on a family soon. Although it sure would be fun to have a 75gal. No more overstocking problems. Hmmm? I wonder where I could put it..;) Meanwhile I will be looking for a very good home for 1 of my angels. (or should it be for both?- it would be hard but I want what's best for them) Anyone live in the Saratoga, NY area? I'm not going to rush it though since they seem to be fine. I'm glad that I asked because I was seriously thinking of adding a small group of harleys or a dwarf gourami to the 29gal.
Any other ideas for the 15 gal?
Thanks Again
