Safe Temp For Tank (higher end of the scale)

Hi all,
Just wondering what a safe temp for the my tanks, my cichlid tank is hitting 28 degrees C (82 F) as are my other tanks even with the AC on 24/7. We're on day four of a pretty nasty heat wave with temps over 40 C (110 F ish) with more to come.

while treating ich in my south american cichlid tank i have had the temp as high as 86 degress F for approx. 3 weeks without any problems i just added extra oxygen to the tank.

What kinds of cichlids do you have? I have a tank of Gold Rams that I keep at 85F.

You need to specify what species you keep.
