"Expensive" is a relative term... but here are a couple of fish I came across while browsing through liveaquaria.com that are REALLY expensive.
Helfrichi Firefish (http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_Display.cfm?pCatId=171)
$189.99
Tank Bred Colin's Angelfish (http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_Display.cfm?pCatId=2400)
$449.99
And my favorite, this whopper...
Imperator Angelfish - Show Size (http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_Display.cfm?pCatId=1936)
$899.99
(wonder if their 14 day live guarantee applies for this fella)

Yeah, that seems about in line with liveaquaria.com's price for that fish... is the "instant gratification" of a full-grown fish worth an extra $830 to you? :)
Then again, hopefully "full grown" does not mean he's near the end of his lifespan.

I would love to have a Dragon Eel, but could never get the money to get a big enough aquarium or the money to actually buy the animal.

Shame on them.
A male 15 inch Emperor has a 10,000 square foot territory in the wild, suggesting a 100 gal tank for this fish is terrible.
I get so sick of this... these people need to do some diving with me on the Pacific reefs and find out what kind of space these fish really require.

I agree, Floridaboy, they are too much interested in the money side, and don't care about the well being of these animals. It is the same with tangs, they cover large areas and they recommend a 50 gallon for a YT it is cruel IMO. And they also state it is an easy fish to keep, IMO if you feed them the correct diet and keep them in Large tanks then the fish is easy to keep, but not with incorrect diets or small 50 gallon tanks.

Memphis,
Are those rhinopias still available? I'd be interested.
