Kbaker's post got me thinking about CC stars. I know that they will damage sessile inverts, which nixes my feather duster plan, but will other things go after them, namely hermits ( Red Legged) and shrimp (blood red and/or skunk)? And also, what do they eat, can they live together, and any other basic husbandry tips. Thank you very much.

They can certainly be kept with other mobile inverts, like hermits or shrimp - no threat either way. CC stars are totally oblivious to each other, so you can certainly keep several. They are quite easy to feed and will take any meaty food placed under an arm.

I've had my cc star about 7-8mos now. He has actually grown quite a lot since then. He usually hangs out on the glass, and spends his time circling the tank. He goes on the lr and substrate every once in a while, but doesn't bother any fish or inverts (alhtough he did eat one of my dying clowns!). I feed it brine shrimp every coupe of days, and he is apparently happy & growing. I just put the food under its arm or it pulls off the glass and I put it near its center "mouth."
