There's no 'show your plants' thread, so far as I know, but I wanted to share a couple of photos of my new plants. I received my Water Lettuce less than a week ago, and all of the original plants have already sent out new plantlets. I think that it's gorgeous, and I'm glad that I decided to try it out.

I'd definately reccommend this plant. It looks good, imo, and the root system provides an excellent area for the fish to hide out in.

We aren't allowed to keep water lettuce or water hyacinth down here. Water traffic nuisance or something.

Mark

Thanks.
You're quite right, Captain. The roots form a stunning visual as well.

Mark, the majority of my fauna is illegal to keep in Texas as well. Quite a few regulations you have down there.

i've never seen that plant, its beautiful. How big is it, or how big will it get?

From what site did you order it?

OW! I think I poked my eye on those roots!!! Can you back it up a bit Rask? :)
I want to see them in the tank, not see them from within the tank :D

Do shrimp like 'em?

They are nice pics and nice plants!
