Hey All,
The Washington Area Marine Aquarium Society is having its winter meeting on Saturday February 25, at Kilmer School in Vienna. If you live in Southern MD, Northern VA, or Washington DC, then you really should make the effort to come out. Why?
1. Jorge Gomezjurado, former head of the seahorse exhibit at the Baltimore Aquarium and now running a seahorse aquaculture company (Draco Marine Aquaculture), will be giving the keynote talk about seahorses. He will also be bringing 10 seahorses for the raffle.
2. Frags. Lots of frags. Some will be traded, others will be sold by Dr Mac and your fellow hobbyists, and there are always some free ones there as well.
3. The raffle. This one's going to be huge. Lots of stuff we got at MACNA, as well as the abovementioned seahorses, donations of equipment, supplies and gift certificates from merchants, and yet more frags.
4. Information. There is no better way to find out about what's new in the hobby, and how well it works, than to talk to your fellow aquarists.
5. If that's not enough, there will be cookies, pretzels and soft drinks.
