Can you guys tell me the best way to get rid of this stuff. I don't have a lot...just some on the ends of my Amazon plant leaves. Its not beard algae, but very thin grey hair like. I have aton of other plants, but no problems with t hem. I was wondering if it had something to do with the amount of current going through the Amazon leaves. Its right by my filter out take and this seems to be the only place it has gone. Got Amano shrimps and otos but none of them seem to eat it. PH is at 6.5, nitrates are around 10ppm and all other plants are doing well. I use CO2, but its been down a few days since I am in the process of switching from DIY to preassurized. I use flourish and have high PC lighting. Around 130W in a 32 gallon. Thanks for any help.

The current shouldn't be an issue really with hair algae. To get rid of your hair algae problem, reduce your light by taking out a bulb till you move to pressurized. Remove all the algae by hand. And finally after than make sure you have your fertilizers on hand and co2 setup before turning on the full 130 watts. Gregwatson.com offers a great alternative to Seachem Flourish line.

I agree with John.
4 wpg and inconsistent CO2 is the place I would look first for a solution.

You will need good flow in the tank for Co2 distribution.

If it (thread algae) is only a minor problem, black mollies will eat it.
