what kind of protein skimmer for under $100.00

well that sums it up. i need a protein skimmer for a HOT application and it really needs to be under $100 or close to it. thanks for any info. just if anybody has if nothing else, some of the ones to stay away from.
 
i was at petsmart yesterday and saw they have SeaClone 100 for under $100, i think it's just under $100 with the sale price right now. i don't know the quality of the protein skimmer myself, maybe someone else might have some info on that...
 
I agree, the coralife super skimmer 65 can be had for under a 100.00. But if you are putting it on the 75g, I would go with the CSS 125 for 114.99. I have the 125 on my 65g and love it.
 
Swimfins, if you shorten the tubing so that the output of the pump touches the input of the skimmer, add a layer of bonded filter padding under black foam in the bubble diffuser, and shorten the hose where it will only go about 1" into the top of the black foam, you will get no fine bubbles. Make sure you add enough padding so the black foam sponge is about 1/4-1/2 inch above the bubble diffuser box. I added 2 pieces to my bubble diffuser and gets no fine bubbles at all.

Just a tip I got from the CSS thread on RC.
