Just wondering if any of you have a water alarm set up to warn you of a potential leak in your tank/pumps/system. Please let me know the type/brand of water alarm you have and if you like it or not. Thanks. :joe:

I am going to buy one and keep it in my stand next to the canister filter. IT iwll be a good $5 insurance policy

Well i just bought one from home depot. Cost was 9 dollars. Esp with my extra connections fluval 404+ uv sterilizer i think its worth the little extra piece of mind. It works great.

yea nothing wrong with using one of the cheaper ones, you can even get some at walmart, especially if you have a wet/dry, mines is sometimes a little too filled so if the power ever goes out it will overflow.

ya i have a reliable water alarm she is 22 and yells every tme i get her floor wet lol

I saw this alarm that is triggered bt temp fluctuation installed in a LFS near my house. It's starts yelling when the tank gets too hot, whick is really necesary in a display marine tank that has like 3000+ watts of light shining
