Sometimes timing is everything. I wasn't happy with the exposure, but delighted with the pose. Check out the little choopers on this female Green Umbee.

This is the juvenile Managuense that I have in the fishroom. A future Jumbo...

Again, exposure is off, but the pose is good. I used a telephoto lens to take all of these photos. Just a change up to see what I would end up with.

Some of the tanks were just made for photos. This is nice and crisp. Same lens...

The largest Minkleyi that I own at 4" . Soon to be moved to a better tank for photos.

I've been following "The Fish Room".

1. Are you a photographer by trade?
2. Would you like to visit Florida?
3. It's warmer in Florida than PA.
4. I would be more than happy to pay for good pictures of my fish.
5. Please!?@#

I own an advertising agency. In that capacity I have taken many photos. Prior to that I worked for NBC. Part of the job was developing TV commercials for clients. So photos...but video. I worked in the Army as a photographer as well. I started off with a camera 30+ years ago, long before the digital camera was around. I had to rely on film, aperature and speed to get my photos. I also had a great deal of Macro experience photographing autopsies in the Army (neat, huh? LOL) SO the background was there. As an old boss once told me, don't screw up the photo. They won't dig them up for a second shot.

Short answer after a long explanation. No. It's really just an advanced hobby that dovetails nicely with my love of fish.

I was supposed to go to Florida in May, but realized it was conflicting with a speaking engagement in Des Moines...so had to pass. Would I like to visit? Sure. Always wanted to fish the canals.

This pic is AMAZING.
It belongs on the front cover of a book, Mo.
