Here's a link with some info.
link (http://www.adelaideaquariums.com.au/faqs/freshwater/fish/tetras/congoyelltail.html).

I picked up all the females and a few males from Forest Lake on Sunday. Nice healthy fish, I should have them spawning in a month or so.

You guys do any trading? I have 4 small to med. green Severums I need to find a home for. LMK

How much was Forest Lake charging for the congos?

They were around $7.50 each or 3 for $20. They had about a dozen males left.

Most the workers at the store were pretty convinced they were all males.
You think they are spawning size?Have you breed tetras before?
I'm trying with a school of normal congo's but the water here sucks.
OH OH what do you think of the store I work at?
One more ? how did you find this site fishman156?

BTW fishman
We dont pay a lot for sevrums put have 3 empty 220s and NO green sevrums in the store at all as far as I know good time to get rid of them.Try feeding those congo's live blackworms we sell them .99 a scoop or 8.00 1/2LB they go a LONG way.

There was 3 females that I found in the tank, They have very little color in the tail and no white edge on the pelvic fins. I feed a lot of live food, so they should be good to go in a month or so.

Try filtering your tap water over some peat moss, or a black water supplement does the same without putting a brown tint to the water. I have had success with both breeding other tetras.

I found that site searching Yahoo when I was looking for info on the Emporer tetra. Forest lake is the best store in MN for freshwater fish, alot better than the very expensive WOF.

I might bring the severums down this weekend, maybe trade them for some mollies or platys, if they will.
