I finally decided what to do with my valintine's day present (265 gal tank) my wife got me. After much debating between fresh or saltwater I went with fresh. Currently houses three tiger oscars and three albino oscars, all about 2", and some snails. I decorated with a deep substate of sand, some large rocks, and lots of driftwood. Anyone have suggestions on live plants that would look nice and be easy to grow. Also can I add crabs or crayfish to my tank or is that asking for trouble?

Oscars snack on crustaceans, so you need to make sure that any which are added are of an appropriate size where they would not be eaten.

You could problably add some crabs or crayfish now but when those oscars get to be like 7 or 8 inches they will problably eat em

O-man, he said that, at that point in time, the crustaceans would be eaten, not that the Oscars would stop growing.
