I was watching my 30g reef today, thinking to myself that the fox coral may have grown a bit... so I looked back at some old photos and can't believe the difference!

Here's a FTS from a while back in October or November:

Here's one from today:

Here's a closeup comparison:

Not sure what's going on with the colour differences between pictures - I haven't changed the colour of the lights, I seem to get bluer and browner pictures even on the same day; I still have a lot of learning to do when it comes to photography :)

I only have freshwater setup and I have a clown knifefish. Everytime a friend comes to my house he/she exaclims how much he has grown, but I barely noticed the difference until I saw some pictures from 6 month ago.

They really grow when you are not looking.

reefrash - thanks :) that Xenia has been thinned out several times - I recently pulled out about half of what was there, it was starting to overgrow the tank! Great coral, all I have to do is keep throwing rubble in, let it attach, pull it out and sell it. There are about ten stalks in a bucket full of rubble attaching ATM, should get me some decent credit at the LFS :D

patoloco - hope you've got that guy in a big tank, they get huge! Nice fish, one of the FW species I always wanted to keep :)
