I currently have a freshwater setup, Im thinking of getting a saltwater one sometime in the future. Can anyone tell me the difference between fresh and salt water tanks. So ill know what Im getting myself into? Thank You

Saltwater has wonderful devices called a protein skimmer, this cannot be used on fresh. You need a list more of test kits and a good ol salinity measuring device. Saltwater needs more circulation, and proper lighting if you want coral.

Ok, I did some research. And its quite amazing how salt water seems easier to maintain after quite a load of work in the begining. The "SUMP" was something new along with the refugium. And from what I understand there isn't any real filteration. As long as there is live rock and constant water flow the rest is set. Is this correct?

SOmewhat. I include a protein skimmer as an important piece of equipment on a SW tank.

Yes ofcourse a protien skimmer is importent, I just that that it was part of the SUMP so i didnt put it in. Also, whats the difference between a "Reef" and regular sw setup?
