Can live rock be put in a brakish system and still live?

It depends on the salinity of the brackish tank.
I believe that 1.018 SG+ should allow most of the inhabitants to survive. A specific gravity level of 1.015-1.018 may be pushing it, but some organisms may still live.

Howlin is right except for the fact that a salinity of 1.018 is technically saltwater. On the low end but is very much so SW. 99% of the organisms will die in brackish water so is only live for SW. Hope this helps, and I use Lava Rock in my BW tanks and works great.

Actually, Saltwater technically starts at a Specific Gravity of 1.023 although I know reef aquarists who would argue 1.025.
Anything in between (1.001-1.022) is brackish.
