the tank is a 5g acrylic bowfront with a 15 watt light and powerfilter so tell me what do i need and what should i do to make a nice little saltwater tank

I'd do crabs instead of snails.

I find that on a small setup snails disturb a lot less. Also it is harder to keep enough shells for the hermit to choose from... just my opinion. Also be aware that the small size makes it difficult to clean. Allow space between rock and acylic. Get a damsel, it is hardier than a clown. The water chemistry changes instantly in such a small volume of water, and the damsel tolerates the changes better. I speak from experience: my first SW was a 1 gal. and I still have my damsel (in a 10 gal. now).
