Feeding otos

I have a newly set up tank and a little oto apparently arrived on one of the plants. The poor little guy survived a lot of mishandling, including being transported out of water for about an hour, before I discovered him. I put him in the tank not sure he'd survive but he seemed to be doing ok. He seemed to be nibbling on some spirulina wafers.
Now it's been several days and the poor oto is looking skinnier and skinnier. I still put in the wafers but I doubt he's actually eating them. The tank is new so there's no algae. Does anyone have any suggestions for feeding him?
This little oto's survived enough that I just feel awful that he's now starving.

Blanched zucchini is good, as well as cucumber. I would also get some frozen brussel sprouts and peas. Brussel sprouts can be blanched and dropped right into the tank (they will sink), and the peas can be thawed and the shells removed before feeding (peas will also sink). You could also try romaine lettuce and/or spinach weighted down or attached to a rock or driftwood. I'd try the peas and brussel sprouts first. Peas are good for the digestive tract and brussel sprouts seem to be the favorite veggie of many otos (and are also quite nutritious). Brussel sprouts can also be left in the tank longer than cukes and zucchini without fouling the water or turning to mush. Peas shouldn't be left in the tank for more than 24 hours, since they often develop fungus if left in too long. HTH

Thanks. I'm going to put in some peas since that's all I have, and if he doesn't eat that, I will get some brussels sprouts and zucchini to try tomorrow.
