I recently added a Firefish to my tank that also has a Yellow Watchman Goby, and whenever the Firefish goes near the Watchman's little hole, the Watchman flares up or something, opens his mouth, and sort of chases the Firefish away. Is this mostly show, or is the Watchman really going to attack the Firefish? It's happening less frequently, but it still happens every now and then.

Very normal.Firefish are very aggressive for their size.Watchman is just defending his lair.Right now I have 3 firefish and a y w goby in my 40qt.No problems.Actually all of my fish like the y goby.The fairy wrasses and blackcap basslett often share the same cave with him.Can't wait to pair him with the randalls pistol shrimp in the 100.
