i'm loosing my cleaner shrimp...i also have 3 blood shrimp and they seem to be ok....the cleaners act lethargic and are starting to look "pale" for lack of a better word they are problably atleast 2 years old, not sure how long shrimp live????or if this is the start of a more serious problem......

Cleaners are sensitive creatures and make good "canaries in a mine" in that if they're in trouble, it could signal that something more serious is up with your tank.
Check you parameters, including salinity, closely and watch for other signs of stress to the system. Try a water change. Have there been any sudden changes or "shocks" to your system recently?
Healthy cleaners also do not need iodine to molt.

the salinity was ok but there were traces of amonia and nitrites(?) and i did 2 30%water changes, but it was too late i lost both of my cleaners....everything else seems ok now.......thanks for the replys need all the help i can get i "inherited" 125 gal tank that is about 2 yrs old, i know some of the basics...but i have alot to learn.
If any ammonia and Nitrite can be detected, something isnt right with the water quality, more likely it has to do with the bioload and the biological filtration.
