don't know too much about mangroves, but I do seem to recall them needing extremely deep sand beds (in the neighborhood of 6-10" I think). not too mention the amount of light I think they need. I don't think it's too feasable in that tank. what size is it? looks like a 20. but maybe someone else will chime in with some advice.

one day I will have mangroves, I plan on making a brackish pond once I finish adding on to my house. then have a bunch of archers, monos and who knows what.

you know after I read the message again I'm confused. are you just stocking the tank? or planning on growing mangoves? lol

that size tank could house a GSP and a few knight gobies or bumble bees. what kind of fish do you like?

AC has a nice brackish section (http://www.aquariacentral.com/brackish.shtml) maybe that will spark some ideas and you can get some specifics here.

Nice start, there. I'm also wondering the size (is this a 20g?).

You would probably be best off with some gobies. A few Celebes Rainbows could be nice, as well.

Do you plan on keeping live Mangroves in this setup?

Good Luck

i think he was just refering to the decor (mangrove root). i'd keep a gsp in there until he outgrew it. mine is my favorite fish i keep.

Here's a great brackish article: http://badmanstropicalfish.com/brackish/brackish.html

Just how are you cycling the tank?
