I have a 55G retrofitted from AHS to provide 110W of lighting. We're moving and I'd love to upgrade to a 75 so I can keep clown loaches. This would cut my lighting down to 1.5WPG. I currently grow java moss, java fern, some crypts, wendti, melon swords, and amazon swords. Would this be enough lighting for all of the above or would I be better off bumping up the lighting to 2WPG?

The typical 75g is the same length and height as a 55g, just wider from front to back. The distance from the lights to the plants will be the same (so intensity will be also) it's just spread out a little more. O.k., technically they are a little farther, not much.
You have 2X55 lights I presume? They are end to end so you have a narrow strip down the center...correct? For those plants, you'll probably be alright. You might want to position the lights over the swords since they require the most light, but you should be o.k. even if you do not.

Thanks for the advice. Yes, it's 2 lights with the reflectors they claim are so superior at directing the light (whether it's true or not, I don't know). Also grow vals and a few others, but I guess then I should be OK with anything I can grow in my current set-up.
