i am planning on starting a salwater tank. i have been in the freshwater moste of my life, but since my baby girl seen the movie nemo. that is the only fish she wants in her room.
i was thinking of getting this fish for her. i was planning on buying the percula clown and noticed tht i have a friend that houses two of them. are these fish good in pairs and is the eclipse system 12 a good tank for them.

The size is good for a pair of percula or ocellaris. If you pick up two small juveniles, the dominant one will develop into a female, the other into a male. They seem most comfortable in pairs, and you may even get them spawning once they mature.

I bought a 12 g eclipse for my girlfriend and it has housed a happy pair of TR ocellaris clowns for a year. That tank is easy to maintain and the lighting is perfect for fowlr, though I may try some mushrooms for color. The internal filter is good for current and the carbon can be helpfull, but I removed the bio-wheel. The tank has about 15-20lbs LR, and that is the only biological filtration that I need.

I turned a 5g version of the Eclipse into a refugium for one of my 20g tanks. The acrylic was easy to drill, and the in-hood lighting and filtration is perfect for a fuge!
