I am uprgrading my tank from a 30 gallon to a 55. I have a severum and a Jack Dempsy, will my tank be fully stocked with the JD and Severum? If not what else could I add? The JD and Severum get along fine, they have been living in the 30 for well over a year and there is no agression between them.,\

I was thinking a GT or maybe another severum or maybe not even a cichlid. What about 3 or 4 Silverdollars?

The only thing I would possibly add would be a bristlenose pleco to clean up the algae and mess from those big cichlids.

A 55 gallon might be small for just the two fish you already have once they are full grown, although they may be stunted from living in the 30 gallon for a year.

I highly doubt they are stunted. I have done weekly 25% water changes and they have been constantly growing, that is why I have gotton them a new bigger tank. I really think that they are going to be fine in a 55 gallon. I probably wont add anymore fish though.

Not getting a Red Devil, it would kill my severum. If I get anything it will be another severum.
