just brought home some tiger barbs, when tranfering them into the tank one jumped right out! i went and grabed a 2nd scooper and as gently as possible got him into the net and got him in the tank. was probably out of the water for 45 seconds to a minute, and took about a 3 foot fall. he seems to be hanging out in the top corner behind the filter and is just kinda flinching a bit staying in one spot. one of the other tiger barbs is hanging out with him. think he'll make it?

only time will tell... even if he hasn't suffered any serious damage he might be totally scared. Leave him alone and let the light off for 1 day until he takes his breath back.

He ought to be just fine. Fish jump quite frequently when being bagged in stores and whatnot. One of my prettiest boesmani rainbowfish jumped about 6 feet to a hard concrete floor when he was being bagged at the store - he was no worse for the wear:)

its not lookin good for him. he didn't eat when i fed them this morning, and now he's swimming along the surface on his side... what do you say? put him out of his misary? or let him be

I'd say give him a little bit more time.

Could still be very stressed about the fall + being in a new tank.
