I've got a problem, Our platnum Gourami has been harrassing our two blue Gouramis and I think ick has now set in from the stress.

I read somewhere that certain fish can't be treated with ick medication but I can't remember which ones. Our tank now includes:
Platnum Gourami
2 blue Gouramis
2 Honey Gouramis
2 firebelly gouramis
1 twin bar platy
3 sunset platies
11 neon tetras
3 harlequin rasboras
5 ottos
3 guppies

Does anybody know if any of these fish can't be treated with meds? I am already upping the temperature to 81. Is there anything else I can do?

BTW the tank is moderatly planted with live plants.

Thanks,

I'm pretty sure you can treat all of your fish with no real problems, depending on the medication. If it says "tetra safe" (or something to that effect), then you're fine using it on your fish.

You can add some salt to the water (I use non-iodized Morton's, but I think I'll avoid starting a debate of iodized/non-iodized right now...). It speeds up the life process of the ich, making it fall off faster (where the meds can more efficiently dispatch it.). It's not absolutely necessary, but it wouldn't hurt.
