Injured Tinfoil

I have two large albino tinfoil barbs. It appears that one of them swam into something in the tank and has a (bloody) tear in its side. The fish still appears healthy and no one is bothering him.

I started by adding aquarium salt and stress coat to the tank. The injury does not appear to be getting better, so I am seeking solutions to treating the the fish.

I knew a man that would use either macuracome or iodine the one that doesnt burn when you put it on a cut. He would use it on his Angel Breeders when they would get injured and they would always heal fast and it never seemed to cause any problems he would just take the fish out and rub some on the injury and put the fish right back in the tank with its mate.
