Hey Now all,
I have an all-glass 40breeder 36x18x16. What type of tank do you think I should run? I love species specific biotope tanks. I have the equipment to run co2 and use a 95watt vho uri aquasun bulb...so planted tank is viable...or should I gow ith low light planted tank?
What do you guys think?
My ph out of the tap is 7.8 in this area.
What would YOU put in a 40breeder?
Take care,
Jared
Do you have any types of fish that interest you more than others, cichlids, bottom feeders, live bearers, tetras, barbs?
I personally like large school of the same fish and try to stick to 2 main fish in my aquariums, a schhol of mid to top and a school of bottom feeders. But I enjoy smaller fish. You may want bigger fish.

Have you thought of any Cichlids. I personaly LOVE them. They are very colorful and livly. Or you might even thing about setting up a Bracish tank.
I personally havent but it seems like you get the look of salt water fish with out the more complex equipment. But dont qoute me on that.

How about rainbows? There are some very colorful ones. I'm putting Milleniums (bright red) in my new 65.
(Hey, psycosis, I was born in Quincy but we lived in Hannibal at the time)

Have fun with your tank !!

How about live plants and then a big schoal of tetras. Like cardinals or something like that. Maybe a few german rams. 40 gallon breeder is one of my favorite sizes for a tank. Good luck.
