I have 3 Ps. Acei that are a little aggressive towards each other, and the past two days that have started to develop some white patches on their bodies.

The patches are mainly on their sides, and i'm wondering if i should catch and medicate them, or if they are just being aggressive towards each other...

Thanks in advance

Are the patches fuzzy or does it look like they're just big scrapes? If it's fuzzy, it's definantly fungus and I'd treat for it, at the very least add some salt (1 tbsp per 5 gallons). You hear alot of conjecture about the usage of salt, but I've had good luck with it. If that doesn't work, then I'd medicate (Maracide works good). It is possible that they're just big scrapes so, seeing as how they are acei. How big of a tank is it? Oh, and if you medicate, then I'd seperate, otherwise you'd be fine to add the salt right to the tank.

Everyone agrees that salt is an excellent temporary medication, especially to counter fungus. I used it this winter to stop incipient tail rot on new Black Ruby Barbs.

This is the kind of situation where many swear that Melaleuca tincture works. (Better than a tea made from Garden Sage, I always wonder?)

Don't delay.

Wetman, what is this Melaleuca you speak of and where can you find it? Thanks.

The tank is 135 gallons, so i'll try adding some salt to stop the outbreak, and then keep an eye on them...and other suggestions?

Tea Tree, Melaleuca alternifolia, marketed as Melafix. Haven't used it myself. I have some Tea Tree shampoo though...

Lol. Oh duh. Yeah I have Melafix. I never knew that was the active ingredient. It works really well. Cuts are taken care of in a few days. Pick some up if you can. Besides, it smells nice.:)
