Ram Help?

I was on the Internet doing research on the Rams and I was wondering if the Bolivian Ram, German Ram, and the Blue Ram Are the same species. From some of the articles I have read I cannot tell if they are the same are different. Meet someone's expertise on figuring this out before I decided on what to get!

No matter what you get make sure you quarentine them. I bought 5 blue and 3 gold rams and every one of them died. I think they were just bad stock.

I have heard (read) that German Blue and Bolivian Rams are better to get.

They are not the same. Th Bolivian Rams are a Mikrogeophagus Altispinosa species, the Blue and Golds are microgeophagus ramirezi. The Bolivians are much hardier and much easier to find... the Blue or Gold Rams seem to be harder to find and even then, they are prone to dying when you get them home. They are much more sensitive I guess. Many stories abound that say the ramirezi carry many diseases from the wild, but even my captive bred ones only lasted a few days.
