I am using a 12g Nano Cube. If someone is familiar with this tank I would like to make sure my set up (water level in the filter compartment) is correct. This product has like the absolute least informative instructions known to man (apparently assembled by extra-terrestrials unfamiliar with human languages). The website says that the filter is "wet-dry" but I can only figure out how to get the tank filled by the entire submersion of all filter media.

Any thoughts?

I agree about the instructions, and having had mine ~ 3 years, the ballast quit on me. Okay, if what your having problems with is the back filling up enough to keep the pump pushing out water. First try filling the tank and the back, it shouldn't overflow the front before it fills the back ( i.e. mine never has). If that doesn't work, check to see if you have a sponge blocking the intake. I've threatened several times to knock out the bottom "false" intake, but haven't done it . I finally gave up on it and added a small hydro filter to the front. It grows plants very well and i couldn't keep the intake working well enough to suit me. The only fish i keep in it are a otto and a zebra loach that i couldn't catch to transfer to my 50 after quarentine.
