I have a Biorb too (30L). I don't think bottom dwellers get on too well with the ceramic media, but I could be wrong.

3 panda cories, they are my favorite and stay on the smaller side.

If you can find them (and afford them) Corydoras Sterbai.
They're one of the smaller varieties and have beautiful coloring.
Black and white spots on the head, stripes on the body, and their fins have an orange margin.

I'm playing a very nervous waiting game right now with my LFS. They bought ONE order of the beauties and haven't confirmed if they'll be ordering more in the future. I've got three in my 20 gal and am planning on setting up a 125 gallon in the near future. I can't overstock my 20 right now, but I'm afraid they'll have sold out before I can get the 125--and I intend to have a schoal of 8-12 in the big tank...

I guess you are just asking personal preference so I would go with a school of pygmy cories (Corydoras pygmaeus) http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/callicht/corydora/283_F.PHP

I love these guys they have so much personality and you could sit and watch a school of them for hours.

I am really bias towards them.

Wishful's choice is a good one as well.

Don't any of you realize how grossly overstocked his tank is? This has already been made aware to him, so PLEASE! stop suggesting more fish.

I suggest Pandas. They are fairly tough, don't get very big and look cool. They are very social so get as many as you think you tank setup can handle. GIven proper water conditions they may even breed for you. It usually happens right after a water change.

He sounds like an excited kid with a passion for fishkeeping, doing his research before buying and stocking the tank, so I see no harm in this.

If you can afford Sterbai's they're the one of the most beautiful ones, as mentioned before, and tolerate higher temperatures. They are stocked in the UK for £5-10 each.

Another popular one, are Panda's, but be careful of the substrate colour with these, and cheaper at around £2.50 - £3 each.

Corydoras are sensitive to water quality, so make sure the tank is properly maintained and cycled. And get at least 6 as they are gregarious (need friends of their own kind).

My personal favorites are the Robinea (the flag tails).

Next on list-- Axlerodii. (do not know if I spelled that right)

Both BEAUTIFULL!!

I agree with Gumby. Peppered Cories. They're very hardy and very beautiful. They didn't look like much in the store tank, but when the light hits them just right they sparkle in all sorts of colors.

I agree with the last. I love my Pepper Cories and they always keep me watching and wondering what they will do next. They work nicely with other fish of almost any type as they tend to keep to there own. I throw in a couple Alge Wafers and Shrimp pellets and they are happy.

I think most Cory's look kinda plain until I found this one... think it was called a Julii Cory... its the same size now as when we purchased it, maybe 1.5"

Ilike the bronze corys but they are quite big right?

I suppose that depends on what you call big. They only grow to about 2-2.5".

I'd call them small.

Sterbai Cories (http://www.fishforums.net/lofiversion/index.php/t60981.html) are neat.

Yea i was thinking the same thing. Actually the LFS i went to had both, and they look very similar. The Sterbais have a redish / orangish tinge to their fins and eyes though, but patterning pretty much is the same.
