Hello all i am going to be setting up a rather heavily planted "small fish" tank and was wondering if all this would fit

my tank is 36"L/15"W/18"H roughly 40G or 150-160L

i would like to have
6Neon Tetra
6Glowlight Tetra
6Zebra Danio
6White Cloud Mountain Minnow
6Cory of some sort
3-6 Otos

any post welcome and am looking for people to give advice on wether this will work and if not what to fix

as long as you get a small species of corydoras(I'm not sure but I think all of them are,research first), it should be fine, you could probably even fit a 2-3 inch centerpiece fish as well. I suggest a male betta for a centerpiece fish, just because I tend to put male bettas in any community tank I can. For the corys use this site to help you chose a species, although you should choose at least 3 different species unless you want to special order the fish from your LFS.

note: I consider 8cm (about 2") or less a smallspecies of corydoras.
 
thanks for the reply i was thinking Pepperd or Bandit Corys both get to around 5cm i'v seen so i think i'll go for one of them
 
FYI on the peppered corys (and any albino corys you see listed as Corydoras paleatus) - these guys are not one of the smaller cory species and can reach 3 to 3 1/2 inches full grown. I just recently learned this information myself. ;)
 
You will have no problem keeping six corys in that tank. I personally prefer one species. Even the corys that get 3 to 3 1/2 inches will work inthat size tank. If youwant smaller Corys use: C. habrosus or pygmaeus. These are easy to fine and stay at 1 inch and under.

The White Cloud Mountain Minnows, I would replace with another fish. They are a cool water fish and should be kept at 72F or lower. The rest would prefer temps in the higher 70sF (77-79F)
 
i thought about not having the WCMM and having another type of tetra and replacing the otos (cant find them around here) with bristolnoses
 
just exclude the ottos if you can't find them, theres no other "algae eater" within my knowledge that stays that small. bristlenoses will be over doing it, one might work, but it will look kind of out of place with all those small fish.
