I just got 4 red eye tetras the other day and it seems like the danio is chasing and bothering them. They are all huddled at the top corner. Should I take out the danio and give him to a friend who has a few in his tank?

Since you notice the danio harrassing them and they are all stuck in a corner, then yes I would give the danio away, or get it some friends.
You don't say what kind of danio. Danios are schoolers and do best with friends. The danio may just be looking for company but plays too rough for the tetras.
I'll second Rollin, it needs some companions, either in your tank or in your friend's tank.

He did have friends months and months ago when I first got him, but they died. He's a long fin tetra and I see him trying to school with everybody, but I don't want to get any more of them. I guess I'll give him to my friend tomorrow.
Sorry, I mean long fin danio. And, he's at in my friend's tank now. The red eyes are comming out more now, so, I did the right thing.
