Hi all,
My tanks been up & running for 2.5 Months now and I've got a little Hair Algea starting to develop on the driftwood and on the leaves of my Swords and crypts.
Low Light 40watts over 36 Gallon tank.
PH 7.0
NH3 0ppm
NO2 0ppm
NO3 10ppm
GH 6
KH 2-3
Temp 78Deg
100 % Flourite Substrate
Photo Period 10 Hours
12 various tetra fish
2 Otto's
1 SAE
Tank is lightly planted 6 Crypts about 5 small swords and 1 large sword the source of the 5 small by way of a runner.
I'm at the point where i'm thinking co2/Ferts in hopes of eliminating algea even in my low light tank. I'd also like to upgrade the lighting in the future to allow for more plant choices.
What should I do first?
Crushed Coral to raise KH to around 4-5?
co2 to push PH down to 6.5?
Add floating plants?
Add more plants?
Ferts ?
Thanks In advance.
