Crazy Yellow Gourami

Two days back I got a yellow Gourami from LFS and last night I bought one more Yellow Gourami.

I found a starnge behaviour in the fish which I got it previously. It non-stop keeps on chasing the other one and tries to nip her fins.

can any one tell me what is this strange kinda behaviour is, Why do the first one nips the fins

Is the first one a boy or a girl?

That can make a difference, gourami sometimes show somewhat agressive behavior around each other when it comes to mating, this INCLUDES the male and female courting.

Then the next question would be how much still water surface do you have? And has the male started any nesting? If so he is might be courting the female.

can you explain me what do you exactly mean nesting

If he's trying to breed, he would be creating a 'nest' of bubbles on the water's surface.
