Hi everyone! First Newbie post!
I'm giving one of my precious thoroughbred bettas to Seattle to give to my fiance's family as a way to appease them (his mother hates me). They already have two koi ponds and have owned bettas in the past, so they're experianced with both large and small fish care. Only problem is that I'm taking him on the plane with me. Seeing as I have no choice, and I am NOT about to send him through the mail (I've heard horror stories), should I be aware of anything? I've read about pressure changes killing the fish and the damage xraying could do, not to mention them not even allowing him on. But I've also read that if his carrier can fit under my seat, then he'll be allowed in. Anyone want to give advice on packaging, general care, ect. on the flight? It's only a few hours (3 tops) so it's not like he'll be overly stressed...
So what should I do? Any ideas? :help:
