Has anybody here has experience with the firemouth cichlids? i was thinking of getting some because petco was selling them for $.99 each. Could they get along with a huge tinfoil barb?

How big is your tank, and how big is your tinfoil? They get up to about 6'', and are considered to be either semi-aggressive or aggressive. I imagine he would get along with the barb if they are simlilar in size, and if he has a cave or something to hide out in.
They are pretty peaceful if the tank is big but I find if they feel cramped, they will turn aggressive. Here is mine in a community tank but mind you the tank is a fair size....
beautiful fish!.. how large is your tank out of curiosity? i originally had debated getting a pair for my 36 but decided to go to dwarfs since it seemed 55+ would be better suited for firemouths..
