really? the owner of my LFS is a nice little native woman. I said she had nice hair and she gave me a dollar off when I got my platies! just goes to show you it pays to help a woman's self esteem.
Well...I always get a discount at my LFS and I don't even have to flirt, I just have to be a loyal customer!! And I always send business his way too!! What goes around comes around!! :clap:
Heh, I always shop at petsmart, and after I'd get a big paycheck, I'd regularly spend $100 or so at a time for maintenance (filter pads, new filters, more tanks... adding fish, food stuffs...) I seemed to know everyone there very well, well, the fish people and cashiers, and once I got a $15 box of filterstuff for free, they'd give me 10% off most things, free fish... Heh, stuff like that.
I guess even in large coperations, loyal customership gets you good things?

The checker at my LFS would always ask about my tanks "oh i wish i had room for a 55"
and she'd always tell me about coupons, give me employee discount, etc.....until i brought my girlfriend in w/ me one time. :huh:
I got a mean look from the checker "oh i didnt know you had a girl", and got in trouble w/ my G/F "who the #$&% was that?"
needless to say i no longer get discounts and i get in trouble for going to the LFS alone :sad:
