Hi giving another update my female Jag is now 11.5 inches long 2.5 inches bigger then she was before. She is now only eating Hikari Gold Pellets. I was wondering what else would be good to feed her. Im kind of scared to give her feeders since she got sick with ick really bad last time and she almost died. I was think of getting Hikari not gold the one right above that one but not sure. I've Heard they like crayfish but if you feed them crayfish do you have to strap there claws together??? Any sujestions would be appretiated. She is in a 60gal by herself no decorations she tosses them to corners so I removed them I dont plan to put another fish in there since a 60 is the min tank size for a female Jag might get a 90gal but not sure kind of tight for money right now. Well thats it for now and Hi to all the people I use to talk to. Hi to everyone else to.

I feed my 11" oscar crayfish all the time. I don't do anything to them, just toss 'um in (largest was about 6". Average is about 4")) . The oscar can take care of itself just fine, it gets pinched ocasionally, but no damage is done.
It is kind of funny to see a fish swim around with a crayfish hanging onto its tail. Feeding crayfish is much better than feeder fish (and entertaining too!)
I'm sure a jag can take care of itself.
My jag used to love frozen blood worms and amazingly, algae wafers. Yep, she used to steal the pleco's food all the time. Until she dislocated her jaw. Now all she can eat is feeders. :(
I had took some pics with my Sisters camera but shes out of town and doesnt remember where she left the camera. She has inhanced in color alot since I started feeding her the pellets but she does seem to be getting tired of them. That is why I want to know other foods. I might try the crayfish. I tried giving her frozen blood worms she looked at it like what the hell is that. She didnt go near it more or less eat it. I will try to get pics later on when I get a camera. Sorry for taking so long to reply though havent had the time to get on. I've been wanting to put a pleco in with her to control the algea but I think she would kill it. Her temperment is through the roof. My uncle had a Red Devil and it was big and mean but not as mean or powerful as my Jag. I have yet to see a fish meaner then her at the Pet shops. Thats why I wont get a mate for Her she would end up killing him and getting injured in the process. Oh why would my Jag be so pist all of a sudden??? About 5months ago I would put my face to the tank and she try to attack it but she always did that. Well now I just enter the room and she trys braking through the glass just to get me. I always thought a bigger tank makes them more peaceful not meaner.
