Airstone

Hi guys, I've searched the forum but I can't seem to find a definitive answer on whether to add an air stone and pump to my tank I'm setting up. I'm aware the o2 levels are lower in salt water so will this assist?

You would be better off by using powerheads or an HOB filter to boost circulation. Airstones aren’t necessarily bad, but all the bubbles make a lot of splash that creates a lot of salt creep.

One reason I like to recommend skimmers is that they inject a lot of air into the water in a way that doesn’t create a lot of splash
