I am going to start a reef, live rock will be my natural filter, along with a three stage bio wheel filter, and getting a skimmer, I need to know everything about corals, and I need to know of some good hardy beginner corals, and also what really grows the corals, the wattage the light bulb gives off or what, answers greatly appreciatted

That's a lot. If you plan on getting corals, take a deep breath and order a copy of Eric Borneman's Aquarium Corals. It covers everything you asked in a lot more depth and with more expertise than we can here.

The most common corals in the hobby are photosynthetic, getting most of their energy from light. Most or all will also take particles of food or dissolved substances from the water.

Some easy corals:
Mushrooms (corallimorpharians): extremely durable and don't need as much light as most corals.
Some soft corals, such as anthelia, capnella (kenya tree), briareum (green star polyps), are also very easy to keep.
