I know they do but have yet to actually see o keep a small one and see it grow. Any idea how fast they grow? how soon do they need new shells? and is this the same for hermit crabs, because they are all small ( at least most of them, red scarlets etc..)
Thanks

I dont know how fast they grow, but most snails if not all, their shells grow with them.

O, for two years of having a saltwater tank I have always thought and even put larger shells in my tanks for the snails to migrate to.
As for the hermit crabs they need shells, right?

yes, always have extra shells in your tank for hermit crabs.
