(1)what is kalkwasser?
(2)how can i dispense it without a proper kalk mixer?
(3)is it a neccesity for my reef and why?

"(1)what is kalkwasser?"
Is a Calcium subliment ( Calcium Hydroxide)
"(2)how can i dispense it without a proper kalk mixer?"
With out a proper dripper you can use any contianer with some airline tubing using a stainless steel air flow control knob to control the flow of the water, You want to drip as much as you need to replace the evaporated water.
"(3)is it a neccesity for my reef and why?"
It is not used to boost your calicum levels, Yes its a needed item, for those who can not afford Calcuim reactors, Calcium is needed for Coral growth, Coraline Algae, and snails and other inverts, Kalk mix is mixed with Top up water and dripped oper time replaceing the water that has evaporated as well as replaceing Calcium that was used by Corals, snails and Coraline algae...
Ideally to start mix 1/2 teaspoon of Kalk mix with a gallon of water ( RO prefered) mix and wait untill completley cleared.. you will have a residue at the bottom that is fine, Then just drip the completly clear solution into your tank myself i drip 24/7 and a total of 3 gallons per day.. so i mix up 20 gallons at a time and i use a total of 20 teaspoons and drip it 24/7
The dripping of KALK, keeps your Calcium levels maintain, helps maintain PH, and reduces Phosphates.
